The brief was to take a derelict barn and turn it into a two bedroom luxury bothy.
We acquired the planning, designed and built the whole project. The main roof structural timbers had to be removed and raised to give head room.
We decided to incorporate a wet underfloor heating system which was connected to a heat source pump.
Due to the nature of the existing structure we lined the internal walls and incorporated insulation panels, this included the new roof structure which was completely insulated with rigid insulation panels.
The internal finishes were discussed at length with the client and although budget driven, we were able to finish the project to an extremely high standard.
We completed the build by designing and landscaping the external garden and patio.
