Our clients are keen gardeners and really wanted to create a pond for plants and wildlife however, the existing garden room/office was close to an old pond that had become overgrown and unloved.

Our team set to work developing the vision into a working plan to bring it to life.

What they wanted, was something that had to sit sympathetically within the landscape and blend into it naturally. Using Iroko timber cladding, manufacturing and on-site works began. The cladding and timber was designed to mellow and weather gently as the building ages. A standing seam zinc roof and aluminium, powder coated double glazed doors create efficiency as well as stunning design complemented by integrated mini blinds into the glass.

As the building took shape, other ideas started to form as it was decided to make part of the space a gym area. Having previously worked on the interior of the house design with a hand-made kitchen and utility room and a complete overhaul of the garden patio, it was an absolute pleasure to add to the aesthetic of the house with this latest outdoor project.

With the clients’ fantastic love of gardening really bringing the space to life, by working together to achieve over and above what they had hoped to, they now have a space that they no longer run away from and can’t wait to come home to.
